Happy New Year awesome reader!
Latest news
Hope everyone is feeling refreshed after the Xmas break and your hangovers have cleared from New years. I’m working hard on editing book 2 of the Stone Devils series. It’s a different concept than the first which focussed on the initial response of regular people when the infection begins to spread through teenagers at an idyllic school.
Book 2 will focus on how a city manages as one the last strongholds for man, its resources under strain from the large influx of refugees escaping the infested countryside, the black-market which thrives within the quarantine zones, all whilst the occult and protest groups work against the government disagreeing with their lockdown measures. I’m excited but it feels vast, a new landscape to traverse, whereas TASD1 had felt comfortable like an old friend after so many readings. I will continue to strive to give my readers an exciting and enjoyable story in the Stone Devils world.
What I’m reading/listening to
I’m currently listening to Swan Song by Robert McCammon (Narrated by Tom Stechschulte). This book follows the survivors of a Nuclear Holocaust and has been compared to Stephen King’s, The Stand. As good and evil begin to rise in the wastelands the characters are developing to show their likely path, I’m enjoying their descriptions and darkness of the world the characters are thrown into but curious to see how the theme of “magic” will play out.

Finished the first book over Christmas now I’m waiting in anticipation for the second book and to see how the story continues. Not my usual genre but I enjoyed it and was gripped throughout. Well done and good luck with the next book.
