Hi awesome reader and welcome back to this months newsletter

Latest news

Spring is here! And so are longer days, giving me more time to edit. Progress on Devils At The Gate (TASD2) is ongoing, though it still requires significant work. I want to ensure that all characters who survive to the third book have strong backstories and exciting arcs.

Annette is trapped in London, caring for Phillip, who suffered injuries in TASD1. As the city's population swells with refugees from the surrounding countryside, tensions rise, making her desire to escape ever more desperate.

I cannot thank everyone who purchased and read the first book enough. It was truly amazing to see so many orders (60) for my first ever publication, especially as I self-published. Thank you! Please forgive me, but I will soon be releasing my first book for FREE, as it is the best way to attract new readers to the series and my work. They will, of course, have to agree to certain terms to receive a free copy. New readers, please keep an eye out. And old readers, please help new ones understand how fortunate they are when it becomes available.

What I’m reading/listening to

I am listening to Witchcraft for Wayward Girls, which is possibly a new favourite of mine. The scenery is creative and beautiful, the characters interesting and vibrant, and the time period it is set in (1969) is a fantastic backdrop to a truly enjoyable story with fun magic, dark situations, and some scary scenarios. The magic in it is reminiscent of Robert Eggers' The Witch—classic and spooky, with spell books and broomsticks.

I listened to most of Game of Fate, which did indeed have some raunchy scenes, but I struggled to get invested in the fantasy world it was set in.
